Ms. Shealey joined the Masella Law Firm in August of 2009.
While in law school, Ms. Shealey was Chief Law Clerk for the South Carolina House Judiciary Committee. She was Vice-President of Phi Delta Phi Legal Society. During the summers she clerked for Harper Law Firm and Parham, Smith, & Dodson in Greenville, SC. Ms. Shealey graduated from law school in May of 2005 and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in November of 2005.
Ms. Shealey served as a law clerk for the Honorable Reginald I. Lloyd while he was the Chief Administrative Judge for General Sessions in Richland County. Following her clerkship, she joined the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office. She began handling Post Conviction Relief cases in Spartanburg, Cherokee, Lancaster, Chester and Fairfield Counties. She was promoted to Prosecutor for the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce within the Attorney General’s Office. This taskforce investigates and prosecutes sexual crimes against children on the internet across the state of South Carolina. These cases include Criminal Solicitation of a Minor, Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Attempted Dissemination of Harmful Materials to a Minor, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. She underwent extensive training in computer forensics. She is one of the only former prosecutors for the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce who is now practicing criminal defense.
